Quality Engineer II

Responsibilities of Position:

*Develops, applies, and revises Program Quality Plan in accordance with
company and contractual requirements *Coordinate customer buy-off process of
end item hardware *Conduit for all program quality communication to prime
contractor and suppliers *Coordinate all program quality communications to
prime contractor and suppliers *Work closely with team leader to prepare
program reviews, man loading, and task descriptions for estimates and
proposals *Witness environmental and final testing, reconcile discrepancies
with effective corrective action *Participate in Material Review Board
activities *Coordinate corrective actions with audit team and process owners

Key Success Factors:

*Interface/audit critical suppliers to assure product and program
acceptability *Refine the Program Quality Plan to support process
improvement and corrective action *Achieve and maintain a high level of
internal/external customer satisfaction on quality performance

Attributes/Skills:

*Promote teamwork and Quality ownership
*Computer proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Minitab, & Visio)
*Quality experience with complex electronic and mechanical products
*Knowledge and application of Six Sigma methodologies

Experience/Education Required/Sought:

*Bachelor degree in Science, Engineering or Business, in lieu of degree 6+
years of equivalent experience.
*4-6 years related experience.
*Strong knowledge of NASA, US Army, Navy, Mil Specs and ISO 9001.
*ASQC Certification preferred.
*Greenbelt Certification preferred


Bottome Line:
